Uncle Vijaya Samarawickrama, my co-host for the Intermediate Buddhism Course in Subang Jaya will be leaving for Sydney and will not be available to conduct the lessons this Friday 29th September 2006. I will be replacing him and the topics for this Friday talk will be as follows:

Science & Religion
  • Modern Religion and scientific discoveries
  • Dependent Origination
  • Universe & its Origin
  • Devas & Deities
  • Tranference of Merits

On the 22nd and 23rd September 2006, I was invited to conduct a series of talks in the USM Kubang Kerian Buddhist Society Outing Camp 2006 in Pantai Melawi, Kelantan. The theme for the outing camp was `Spiritual Journey of KalyanaMitras'. Amongst the titles of the talks were `Mind Power' and Buddhist Formula for Resolution of Unhappiness'.

Throughout the two days, I was pleased to observed that even medical science students who were supposedly the cream of the students were able to exhibit great humility and caring nature for Buddhist brothers and sisters in the little Buddhist family within the campus. I was impressed with their team spirits and willingness to cooperate with each other in making the camp enjoyable and beneficial to each other. Sadhu to the boys and girls of USMKK.
